In the 14th, a guest often hands back the keys late in the morning to catch a TGV at Gare Montparnasse or RER B at Denfert-Rochereau, and the next one turns up in the afternoon with a suitcase. In between, the flat has to look like the photos in the listing again. That is the window our team organises, home by home.

Cleaning built around check-out and check-in times
We start from the outgoing guest’s departure time and the next guest’s arrival time, then fit the team’s visit in between. A studio near Alésia does not take as long as a two-bedroom on two floors in one of the cobbled lanes of Plaisance, and the schedule reflects that.
- Floors, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and surfaces cleaned
- Beds made up with clean sheets, fresh towels laid out in the bathroom
- Crockery checked, leftovers cleared from the fridge, hob and oven cleaned
- Basics restocked: toilet paper, soap, bin bags
- End-of-visit photos sent to the owner
What the buildings of the 14th require
Many flats in the arrondissement are in older buildings: stairs with no lift, an inner courtyard, a bin room on the ground floor with its recycling bins. The team takes the rubbish down to the right bin, follows the times set by the caretaker or the building’s managing agent and leaves nothing on the landing. In the small houses and studios along the cobbled lanes, around Rue des Thermopyles or Square de Montsouris, we also check the small yard or garden when the guest has access to it.
A final walk-round before we leave
Before handing the keys back, the team tries everything the guest will reach for on arrival: the door code, the lock or key box, the heating, the hot water, every lamp and the wifi. If anything is faulty, you are told and the repair is arranged through our maintenance service.
This visit relies on our linen hire and on the way we run your guests’ check-in and check-out. If your flat is close to Place Denfert-Rochereau or Parc Montsouris, there is also our Denfert-Rochereau and Montsouris page.
Frequently asked questions
Who pays for cleaning between stays?
On Airbnb as on Booking, the listing can include a cleaning charge settled by the guest in addition to the nightly price. We suggest that amount when we set up the listing.
What do you do with the rubbish in an older building?
The team takes it down to the building’s bin room, into the right recycling bins, following the caretaker’s or the managing agent’s instructions. Nothing is left on the landing or outside the door.
Is a one-night booking cleaned the same way?
Yes. Whether the stay lasted one night or ten, the team does the whole flat, changes the linen and checks the equipment.
What happens if something has been broken?
We photograph the damage during the visit and forward the pictures straight away. The following steps are set out on our damage support page.
